REMINDER: The AUSAP Membership Meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at the Utah Fall Conference. Please make time to meet with the board and get updated on legislative changes.

The Association of Utah Substance Abuse Professionals (AUSAP) is a professional organization set to support all professionals that work with individuals suffering from Substance Abuse Disorders. AUSAP is also the state affiliate for NAADAC the Association for Addiction Professionals.

The organization is currently focusing our efforts on:

• Legislative Action – AUSAP is working with the ‘Behavioral Healthcare Workforce Workgroup’ under the  ’USAAV Committe’ to redevelop the current Mental Health Practice act and substance abuse license to align with current Health Care Reform.
• Professional Credentialing and Certifying through NAADAC and IC&RC.
• State Examination for licensure.
